MEET DAVE LAWSON

Dave Lawson is a longtime record collector and frequent vinyl DJ at private events, weddings, corner bars and community gatherings. You might have seen him at the Detroit Urban Craft Fair in the Masonic Temple, at the Metro Times Best Of party, at the finish line of the Detroit Free Press Marathon, as a guest at Motor City Soul Club, or at his weekly gig at the Loving Touch (2010-2014). You also might have heard him playing rare Christmas records as the special guest on Jon Moshier’s (Not So) Modern Music Holiday Special every year on WDET.

When he is not collecting and listening to records, Dave is also a songwriter in the Going Gones and a local producer, working on recent releases by the Codgers and Sodra. He’s previously been a member of the Scrappers, The Pop Project, the Sights and the Singles.
